  1. Setting up the BBS:
  2. -------------------

  4. THIS BBS ONLY WORKS ON FALCON COMPUTERS YET! IF THE INTEREST IS BIG ENOUGH,
  5. THERE WILL ALSO BE A TT AND MAYBE EVEN ST VERSION!
  6. Real-time ANSI-display is only possible on VGA monitors! Just start
  7. \PREHELL\ANSIEDIT\ANSIDRIV.PRG to install the driver...

  9. Just copy \PREHELL to any driver of your harddisk. There doesn't need to be
  10. much space left. A small BBS with up to 50 users generally won't need
  11. more than 10-20 megabytes for the BBS-data, user and mail-files.

  13. For a good working of the BBS you should have HSMODEM installed and setup
  14. RS232 to your wishes! (Use a standard CPX for that)
  15.  
  16. For file-transfers, you have to get a Zmodem module! (GSZRZ)
  17. Other possibilities will be included in future versions...

  19. There is already one user set up:  Name: Sysop Password: Sysop
  20. Change this password as soon as possible...

  26. M_AREAS.BBS    ->the message-areas
  27. MENUS.BBS    ->the BBS-menus
  28. LOGIN.SCR    ->BBS script executed at login
  29. CARRLOST.SCR    ->BBS script executed at unexpected hangups

  31. Help for these files can be found in AREAS.HLP, MENUS.HLP and SCRIPTS.HLP
